They, Them, Theirs | Rochester, VT | Facilitator

Margo Kelly, MSW, MEd is a therapist, facilitator, advocate, and activist. They were born and raised in Chicago within a large white Irish Catholic family. They found their chosen family in the queer and gender diverse communities, and in the rivers and on the mountains. Their intersectional identities impact how they move through society and propel them to continue noticing and unlearning characteristics of white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism.

Margo has a background in education, race equity, crisis management, and therapy. Their professional track record includes serving in AmeriCorps, teaching in public schools, advocating for victim/survivors of sexual assault, helping families navigate the department of human services, supporting young adults in the healthcare system, and conducting therapy with gender diverse adolescents. Margo prioritizes being in relationship with people and being in relationship with the land. Their work centers and tends to the unheard voices/needs in ourselves, in community, and in the land.

Margo holds a B.A. in Early Education and Anthropology from University of Washington and a Masters of Social Work and Masters of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University. They are currently a wilderness therapist, serving adolescents and young adults in central Vermont.
